Don and Teleka Dewing
Don and I continue to keep busy, Don has put in many many hours with the renovations of the Turtle and Wolf bunk rooms to transformed them into two rooms for the planned homeless shelter.  He has laid foundation cement board in  preparation for the ceramic tile that he laid in both rooms. He put in kitchen cabinets, stove and refrigerator  in the Wolf cabin.  He also made dividers for each room so that the sleeping areas are walled off.  He also made a butcher block top for one bank of drawers for the Turtle cabin. The beds are all set up and it looks great!  Our next task is to fill the rooms with furnishings as well as sheets, towels, personal hygiene supplies, items to cook with and eat on. We continue to wait for funding from two grants in order to open.
The Food Pantry continues to grow.  We are now serving 354 families representing over 1,100 people! We now are offering more food than we ever have before. The food is free to anyone who comes. The Lord is blessing others through this expanding ministry.
Don and I will be traveling for 10 days in May. We will be sharing at several churches and attending a wedding of a nephew. We are looking forward to a few
days of relaxation during this time as well as visiting with Don’s family.
Our three sons and families stay busy.  Micah will be taking the job of Shelter Director. He is looking forward to working with the homeless and those in transition.  Adam and Jennifer started their catering business with an open house on May 8th. Benjamin and Ashley continue to work with the youth drawing teens from the Potawatomi reservation as well as the Chippewa reservation.  The teens look forward to their summer trips.  The grandchildren are also doing well and the ones in school are looking forward to the summer with their many activities.  Several of the grandchildren will be attending Wasmogishek Camp in July.
Continue to pray for us as we minister here and thank you so much for your continued support!
