Youth Ministries
Benjamin Dewing

Well….all I can say is WOW!! It is time once again for our summer ministry to get into full swing! This year is no exception for things going on. The youth group has been busy as ever raising money to do a lot of different things this summer. We have had three fund raisers so far, and hopefully we can squeeze a couple more in. We have had two Indian taco sales at Stone Lake Church, and one at Mole Lake Church. The youth all worked very hard each of them. We have also been blessed by a few of the ladies from the community in helping cook at all of the sales. The Lord is good!

Our youth groups have been fairly steady around 10 to 15 kids, and even staying strong now that warmer weather has arrived. We are starting to get ready for our first trip which will take us down to Missouri for Warrior Leadership Summit. It is a Native American youth gathering we have been going to for a few years now. Last year we took 4 kids down and this year it is looking like we will have about 8 or 9 going with. They are getting excited! Our next trip after that will be only two hours south of us to a Christian music festival called Life Fest. We are going with another local youth group there and spending 5 days there. We hope to take around 15 kids down with us. And when we return from there we will have a week off to start getting ready for our summer camp. We have our normal week of camp going on from July 19 to the 24 for kids ages 8 to 12. We are still yet to confirm any help for counseling that week. If you or your church would like to send a group our way to assist us in that week we would greatly appreciate it. The kids look forward to this week of camp all year long. I hear from them every time I  see them, when is camp.. when is camp! I can’t wait I’m finally old enough to go! But unfortunately each year it seems harder and harder to find help. We cant do it alone. Without the help from outside groups it’s pretty simple. We can’t have camp. We have all been praying that we will find the help we need. And we will still continue to plan on having camp. The Lord always seems to provide. And finally to end the summer of events my wife and I are going to switch things up a bit again and have a wilderness camp for the older kids 13 and up. We plan to take about 15 kids out to the great outdoors camping for a week. We plan on canoeing, hiking, rafting, and swimming. It should be a fun time. This will be a new type of camp for the older kids but they all seem pretty excited about it, and so are we!! Well the Lord has been faithful and good to us in our few years of ministry so far. Not only financially but also allowing us to do these special event trips that the kids might not get to experience otherwise. We would love to do a lot more of these things but with both of us still working normal jobs we just don’t have the time to do all the things we would like. Please be in prayer for us to reach our goal of being full support, and being able to work with the youth on a full time basis. We love spending time with the kids and helping then understand the Love of God. And understanding how important a relationship with Him is.

Please pray for the youth as they do these things this summer and that they come to find that love of God that is so much needed. If you feel compelled to make a donation to the youth group fund or even a monthly pledge toward our support you can designate where you want your pledge or gift to go to on the attached form on this letter. Please be in prayer for summer camp help. If you would like more information on camp or any other goings on this summer please contact me at 715-889-0400. Also be in prayer for all of out youth in the community.

     Thank You and God Bless
